We are delighted to announce that the combined friendships of the British Youth Band Association (BYBA) and the Traditional Youth Marching Band Association (TYMBA) will once again be co-hosting a nationwide online Individuals and Ensembles event for 2025.
This will follow the same successful 2023 format where participants can submit their entries based on their respective categories that will then be assessed by an expert pool of Nationally acclaimed and highly respected Judges from across the music spectrum.

The categories should cover every instrument present in bands across both Associations, but if you have a special skill or can play a unique instrument then there's a chance for you to show that off too - with our "Open Entertainment" category!

Full entry details can be found on this Website at the following link: www.byba.online/iande

The results will be published and announced by both organisations Chairs on Sunday 23rd November 2025.

Closing date for entries is 11.59pm on Sunday 9th November.

TYMBA Chairman, Claire Stacey said "It is a pleasure to be partnering once again with BYBA to deliver the 2025 Individuals and Ensembles event. Providing opportunities for young people to perform and be recognised is at the heart of what we do, and this collaboration ensures that talent from all areas can be celebrated. Together we are stronger, and by working together we can continue to offer incredible opportunities for all. Individuals and Ensembles provides the perfect platform for friendly competition, and I look forward to seeing the brilliant range of entries this year. Thank you to everyone helping to make this event possible."

Adding to that, BYBA Chair, Paul Morgan commented "With the vast cost of travelling taking a huge impact on our activity as a whole, to be able to bring literally anyone from anywhere together for what we already know is a hugely successful format is a shining light for all those who love all things music related. It would be absolutely brilliant if we could get at least one entry from every county/district in the UK. I know you are all out there, so why not join in and share your passion with everyone. I would like to thank everyone behind the scenes who are already working diligently to make this a success, but also to our friends at TYMBA who continue to demonstrate excellence in every detail in what they do. Long may that continue."
