The 51st AGM will be held on Saturday 27th January 2024 at a venue to be confirmed in the Midlands.  The exact time is also to be confirmed but will be in the afternoon.

Further information and details will be circulated in due course, but please note the date in your diary.

The meeting is open to all, but only members will be eligible to vote.  Members will be required to renew their membership for 2024 before the date of the meeting.

Please note that any proposed amendments to the constitution, any proposals and any nominations for election to council must be notified at least 28 days before the meeting.  There are currently a number of vacant positions on council – Treasurer, Chair of Education, Chair of Development and Chair of Contesting.

Neil Wright’s second term of office, as Association Chair, comes to an end at the AGM.  Under the Constitution, the Association Chair can only serve 2 consecutive terms and accordingly a new chair will be elected at the AGM.

The roles of Chair of Communications and Chair of Judging are also due for renewal; as council positions are held for a 3-year period, however the present incumbents can seek re-election, for these roles.

Anyone interested in seeking election to any of the roles above should submit their name to Luke Taylor, Chair of Communications Luke.taylor@byba.online by 30 December 2023, or if more information is required as to the scope of the roles please speak with any member of Council.

We look forward to seeing as many people as possible at the meeting.  If a member cannot attend, then you they can nominate another member to hold their proxy and vote accordingly.  Proxies should be lodged 72 hours before the meeting.  Council members unfortunately cannot carry proxies.   For the avoidance of doubt, any band who holds membership can nominate a member of that band to attend and vote, it does not have to be the corps director of bandmaster who attends.
