Burgess Hill Marching Youth are enjoying a mixture of virtual and in person rehearsals (depending on weather). Having been back at band since the 22nd of April they are now starting to settle into the swing of things again.
Sheffield-based Concord AllStars are another band that are settling back into the rehearsal rhythm, having been back for a month now. Their guard hall has just had a new ceiling and lights fitted, and they are looking forward to restarting Blue Street Brass next week as well!
Phantom Knights have been back rehearsing since the 18th April, after their initial return to rehearsing on the 11th got snowed off(!!). Based in Atherstone, they have enjoyed regular weekly rehearsals and have started to see their membership slowly but surely grow!
Syston Scout & Guide Band returned to rehearsals on the 14th of April. They are currently rehearsing over two different time slots in order to limit numbers for social distancing and have managed to recruit 5 new members!
Since restarting again two weeks ago Warwick have gained 7 new members, leading to all sections growing. This is a great sign for Warwick and they are excited to start pulling things together to hopefully do a performance soon (Covid safe).
The banding world seems to slowly be turning a corner now and coming back to life. We are excited to see what our member bands have gotten up to over lockdown and can't wait to hear them all perform, but first and foremost we hope they stay safe in their return to rehearsals.
