We are delighted to invite you to the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the British Youth Band Association. This is an important occasion to review our progress, discuss future plans, and strengthen our community.
After the meeting, we encourage you to stay for an informal chat. Food and drinks will be available from the bar.
Key Details
  • Open to All: Everyone is welcome to attend, but only members may vote.
  • Membership Renewal: Members must renew their 2026 membership before the meeting date.
  • Important Deadlines: Proposed amendments to the constitution, motions, and nominations for council must be submitted at least 28 days before the meeting.
Council Vacancies
We currently have several positions open or up for re-election:
  • Treasurer
  • Association Secretary
  • Chair of Education & Development
  • Chair of Events
  • Chair of Technology
If you are interested in any of these roles, please contact me or any council member. Forms for proposals and nominations are in comments.
Voting & Proxies
If you cannot attend, you may nominate another member or fellow to vote on your behalf:
  • Proxies must be lodged 72 hours before the meeting.
  • Council members cannot carry proxies.
  • Any band holding membership may nominate a representative to attend and vote—it does not have to be the corps director or bandmaster.
