Youth marching bands from across the UK are heading to Elvaston this June.

Something special is happening at the 143rd Derbyshire County Show, and if you haven't heard about it yet — you're going to want to clear your diary!

On Sunday 28 June 2026, BYBA is bringing a day of live performance to Elvaston Showground as part of this year's County Show programme. Brass sections, snare lines, bass drums, colour guards — all delivered by some of the most talented young musicians in Britain, performing live in front of a real crowd at one of the UK's most celebrated public events.

What's happening on the day?

The BYBA National Showcase will see performances run throughout the day across a range of band styles — from military-inspired marching bands to show bands and drum corps. Every performer represents a band from right across the UK, and every one of them has worked hard to earn their place on that field.

The best part? If you're already planning to attend the Derbyshire County Show, it's all included with your ticket. No extras, no separate booking — just an unmissable showcase of British youth music built right into your day out.

Get there early. Stay for the whole thing.

After each performance, there's a chance to meet the bands in person — get up close with a snare line, talk to the young people behind those incredible instruments, and see for yourself what BYBA is all about.

And make sure you're still there at the end of the day. The best-in-class band will close out the entire County Show as part of the closing ceremony performances. It's the perfect way to finish what promises to be an unforgettable day.
