BYBA welcomes three new arrangers onto the scene for the 2022 season. Warwick Corps of Drums and Revolution have both announced changes to their music teams.

Warwick

Warwick have announced that Abi C-V has arranged their 2022 programme. Abi, who first started marching in 2011 with Stafford Lancers, first started writing music around 2017. Since then she has gone on to write numerous pieces (both originals and arrangements). You may have already heard some of her work; Abi arranged some music for Stafford Brigades' 2019 show, as well as We Three Kings for Beeches Brass for the BYBA Christmas Carol competition in 2020. Her original piece Reverie was also performed by Beeches at BYBA's For the Love of Music competition in 2021, where it placed second.

Warwick's 2022 show, Warwick Assemble, tells the story of Marvel's Infinity Saga and is Abi's first full field show to be performed. It made its debut outing at the BYBA Summer Rhythm show on the 3rd July.

Revolution

Alongside the returning Shane Murray arranging brass and tuned percussion parts, Revolution have announced that Luke Taylor and Aidan Varney have co-arranged the drumline and auxiliary percussion music. Luke and Aidan both started their marching careers at Revolution, although not at the same time. They subsequently marched together at The Company for the corps' final season - 2018's On The Spot. They are both enjoying having the freedom to teach their own writing, and the learning curve that comes with it!

Broadway, Revolution's 2022 show, was originally written for 2020 before the covid-19 pandemic struck. Revolution gave their debut performance of the show at the BYBA Music Revolution competition on the 19th June.

All at BYBA would like to congratulate these three young arrangers on the music they have written, we can't wait to see how your writing talents continue to grow and develop in the future!
